Transfer Calls

Updated: 4/23/2024 3:36 AM

You can transfer calls when you are on the phone with someone by performing one of the following two options:

  1. Attended Transfer: Place the caller on hold and speak to the transfer recipient first
  2. Blind Transfer: Transfer the call immediately without speaking to the recipient first
To set up Call Forwarding rules for unanswered calls, refer to Forward Call Options.

NOTES:

  • Semi-attended Transfers, where the call is transferred upon the recipient's phone ringing, are not supported by Vonage.
  • To display the originating Caller ID on transfer, you must perform a Blind Transfer instead of an Attended Transfer.
  • Attended transfers to a Call Queue may cause the call to drop. If you need to transfer to a Call Queue, use blind transfer.
