You can transfer calls when you are on the phone with someone by performing one of the following two options:
- Attended Transfer: Place the caller on hold and speak to the transfer recipient first
- Blind Transfer: Transfer the call immediately without speaking to the recipient first
To set up Call Forwarding rules for unanswered calls, refer to Forward Call Options.
NOTES:
- Semi-attended Transfers, where the call is transferred upon the recipient's phone ringing, are not supported by Vonage.
- To display the originating Caller ID on transfer, you must perform a Blind Transfer instead of an Attended Transfer.
- Attended transfers to a Call Queue may cause the call to drop. If you need to transfer to a Call Queue, use blind transfer.
