PBX Settings

PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is a virtual switchboard that specifies the behavior for incoming and outgoing calls.

Only Super Users and Administrators can manage PBX Settings account-wide. Users can apply settings to their own extensions only as noted. 


  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal.
  2. Click Account and then click PBX Settings.
     
    Default Time ZoneSelect the time zone for your area.

    The selected zone specifies the time that is displayed on your phone and is used for reporting, call logs, and features such as Call Recording and Virtual Receptionist.
    Hold Music
    Playback ModeSet the order used for your playlist.
     
    • Sequential plays in the order listed
    • Random plays in a non-ordered manner.
    Audio Files
    • Click Play to listen to the audio file.
    • Hold and drag the Recorder icon to change the sequence of audio files. 
    • Click the Download icon to save the audio file.
    • Click the Trash icon to delete the audio file.
    Upload Audio FileClick to upload a .wav or .mp3 audio file.

    Audio file size cannot exceed 8MB.
    Distinctive RingtonePlays a unique sound on incoming calls from external phone numbers if turned on and supported by the device. 

    The tone played is defined by the device.
    Outbound Caller ID NumberMark the option you want to use for Outbound Caller ID. Users can also apply for their own extensions.
     
    For all extensions use the default Caller IDSelect a single extension to display on all outbound calls from any extension.
    For each extension display the direct dial number for the extensionShow the direct dial number for that extension when an outbound call is placed. 

    You must Save your changes before you can Edit Extensions.
    Block all Outbound Caller IDDisplay Unavailable or Private for Caller ID on all outbound calls from extensions.

  3. Click Save.
