Vonage Business Communications Maintenance

Vonage is committed to your safety and security and to provide you with the tools you need to stay connected - from anywhere.  

To continue to provide this level of support, we will be scheduling standard maintenance to your account on Saturday, November 13th, from 10:00 PM EST - 12:00 AM EST.
This may affect some of your Vonage Business Communications desktop and mobile functionality, in addition to E911 services (for North America users only).

Please read the information below carefully and determine whether or not you could be impacted.   

Caller ID on Emergency Services Calls (North America Only)

Note: If your business is not operating during these hours and no one will be on the premises, no action is needed.
  • There is no disruption to outgoing emergency services calls, however, during the maintenance window our system will not be able to automatically assign a temporary call-back number to your devices. 
    • This temporary call-back number is typically assigned to a device when dialing emergency services and allows the dispatcher to reach the device making the call directly, regardless of the caller ID on the extension. 
    • During the maintenance window, calls made to emergency services will use the Outbound Caller ID set on each extension. This means that the direct callback number may be inaccessible to your local emergency service provider.
    • To prevent this and ensure your account Outbound Caller ID is set to display each extension's direct dial number instead of the default main number, prior to 11/13/2021 at 10 PM EST:
  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal as a Super User or Administrator
  2. Under Account on the left navigation, select PBX Settings 
  3. Scroll to the Outbound Caller ID Number section and ensure Option 2 is enabled. "For each extension display the phone number for the extension."
  4. Save your selection.

Admin Portal

  • You will see a maintenance page, and will be unable to sign in to update account settings, including purchasing services.  If you are already logged in, you will be redirected to the maintenance page upon navigating from your current page.
  • Call recordings will still be processed and stored.
  • Auto-purchases for Company Call Recordings will not complete but will catch up after the maintenance window.

Mobile/Desktop Applications

  • The ability to login will not be available during the maintenance window.
  • Customers already logged in will remain logged in and continue to have calling functionality.

Vonage Meetings

  • The Vonage Meetings app will not be available during the maintenance window.
  • There is, however, no impact to calling in to a Meetings bridge.
