Set Up Netgear Routers

Netgear routers purchased from Vonage Business are delivered and ready for use. If you purchased the device from a third party, SIP ALG must be disabled.

Certified Devices

Devices that have been certified by Vonage are guaranteed to work with your Vonage service and can be purchased from a retailer. Certified Netgear routers include:

Adjust Firewall Settings

The following steps apply to any Netgear device, but it is recommended that you purchase a certified model if you continue to experience issues.

NOTE: The WAN port must be connected before you can sign in to the router.

  1. Open a web browser on a computer connected to the Netgear.
  2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net into the address bar.
  3. Sign in with the following credentials:
     
    Usernameadmin
    Passwordpassword
  4. Click WAN Setup (on left).
  5. Mark the option for Disable SIP ALG.
