Call Block

Updated: 4/19/2024 3:31 AM

Use Call Blocking rules to block both inbound and outbound calls and faxes.

  • Rules apply to extension calls and paperless faxing.
  • Enable or disable rated calls, such as International and 411.
  • Block partial or full numbers.
  • Reject calls that display Restricted, Private, Anonymous, and other non-numeric characters. Calls from Unavailable are not blocked.
  • Add exemptions to a blocked number. For example, block area code 404 but allow calls to or from 404-555-6789.

Inbound calls from a blocked number hear a fast busy. Outbound calls to a blocked number hear: I'm sorry. Calls to this number have been blocked by your Administrator.

Super Users and Administrators can add and manage rules for the entire account. End Users can apply rules to their own extension, but cannot override account-wide rules applied by an Administrator.
