Audit Log

Audit Log details the transactions applied against your services, whether the event is captured in the VBC Admin Portal, Desktop App, or Mobile App. Information also includes who implemented the action.

Partner Account Users can capture these events for their child accounts, where changes to user types are also captured.

Access and View Audit Logs
  1. Sign in to Admin Portal. 
  2. Expand Phone System or Account, then click the service type.

    These are the available options:
     
    ServicesService Types

    User Provisioning
  3. Click the Audit Log tab (next to Settings).

    To filter events, enter Search criteria, choose a Time Zone (optional), select From to specify a range, then click Apply.
     
    Event Date/TimeLists the events by date/time captured with the latest event listed first. Filters are handled as follows:
     
    • If no filters, it defaults to Today.
    • If Time Zone is not updated, it defaults to the primary location for multi-location accounts. 
    • If From range is used, options are Custom, Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, and 180 days
    Event typeSpecifies the action captured.
    Changed byIndicates who applied the change.
     
    • If applied by our Customer Care Support, the identifier is Vonage Business.
    • If applied by a  Partner Super User/Administrator, the identifier is Super User
    Item ChangedIndicates the event applied. 
    Item LocationDisplays the name of the location where the event was applied. 
    Change summarySummarizes the event that was applied to your account. 
Understand Data Types Captured
Users

Event captures include:

Create UserAdd user to account.
Delete UserRemove user from account. 
Modify User Contact NumbersChange contact number(s) for user.
Change User EmailChange email for the user.
Change User TypeModify the type of user. 
Change User First NameModify first name for user.
Change User Last NameModify last name for user. 
Update UsernameModify username. 
User SSO Enabled
 
Enable Single Sign On (SSO) for user.

All events are captured in a separate entry whether enabled by bulk or individually.
User SSO Disabled
 
Disable Single Sign On (SSO) for user.

All events are captured in a separate entry whether disabled by bulk or individually.
User Enabled via SCIM
 
Sync identified a user enabled by System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM).

If multiple users are added at the same time, a separate event is generated each.
User Disabled via SCIM
 
Sync identified a user disabled by System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) and generate an event.

If multiple users are disabled at the same time, a separate event is generated each.
Successful User LoginUser signs in successfully with VBC credentials.
Successful SSO User LoginUser signs in successfully with SSO credentials.
Failed Login - User LockedUser exceeds the allowed incorrect password attempts.
Failed Login - SSO RequiredUser fails to sign in with the required SSO credentials.
Failed Login - Incorrect PasswordUser fails to sign in with the correct password.
Failed Login - User Disabled via SCIMUser deactivated via SCIM by the customer's identity provider.
Password UpdatedUser password changed by the User or the Admin.

NOTE: The following events are not captured: Username is not recognized, User deleted, or a VBC-initiated request is redirected to the SSO provider and incomplete due to a third-party provider.

All unanswered calls are directed to the settings you have for Voicemail.

Voicemail Pin Number changedUpdate Voicemail Pin Number.

Event captured for Admin Portal, Desktop App, and Mobile App only. 
Voicemail Timeout changedChange Voicemail time out value to a new one. 
Send Voicemail to Email changedChange the email address used for Send to Voicemail to a new one.  
Send Voicemail to Email turned ONEnable send voicemail transcription to email.
Delete Voicemail After Sending Email turned ONEnable delete voicemail after transcription email is sent.

This event is captured only if Send Voicemail to Email is ON.
Send Voicemail to Email turned OFFDisable send voicemail to email.

Do Not Disturb turned ONEnable Do Not Disturb for all devices. On desktop and mobile, this feature is called Mute All Devices (toggled on).

Group's Extension Number changedUpdate Call Group extension number.
