Call Screening and Call Announce

Call Screening plays the recorded name of the caller and provides options to direct that call, while Call Announce plays a custom tag to let you know what department the call is coming from. You can combine these features to provide flexibility in how you manage your calls.

Details

Enable Call ScreeningPrompts a caller to state their name. Use the generic message or record a custom message.

Can be used with Call Announce, Screen Menu, or both.

Call AnnouncePlays the username or custom tag after the call connects. For example, You have a call for Sales.

Can be used with Enable Call Screen, Screen Menu, or both.
Screen MenuPlays a set of options that specify how to handle the incoming call:
  • Press 1 to accept the call
  • Press 2 to send the caller to voicemail
  • Press 3 to transfer the call by number
  • Press 4 to transfer the call by name
This option must be used with Enable Call Screen, Call Announce, or both.

    Set Up by Super User or Administrator

    1. Sign in to the Admin Portal.
    2. Click Phone System, then click Extensions.
    3. Hover over the extension you want to set up and then click the Pencil icon.
    4. Go to the Call Screening section and choose from Call Screening, Call Announce and/or Screen Menu.
    5. Click Save.

    Set Up by End User

    1. Sign in to your Online Account.
    2. Click the Avatar Avatar, then click Settings.
    3. Click Extension.
    4. Go to the Call Screening section and choose from Call Screening, Call Announce and/or Screen Menu.
    5. Click Save.
